Oral and maxillofacial pathology is one of the specialized courses in dentistry that was born in the early second half of the twentieth century and has been established worldwide for nearly 60 years, each of which has increased its scope and importance in medical and dental sciences. In Iran, for the first time, the Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology curriculum was officially formed in 1339 by the late Professor Yazdi and integrated with the curriculum of the medical school. The Scientific Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology was formed in 1990 with the help of Professor Yazdi. The activity license of this association has been approved based on the resolution of the 222nd session of the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution on 7/8/1370 and based on the vote dated 6/9/79 of the Commission of Scientific Associations of the Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education.
